This best kept secret is only open Thursday through Saturday from 4:30pm to 9:00pm so make the drive and taste what you’ve been missing. I’ve been to Ken’s several times and I short review will hopefully encourage you to make the trip to Amber.
So, what’s good at Ken’s? Well just about everydamnthing!! Included in every meal is access to their fresh salad bar where you slice your own cheese. It also includes fresh vegetables and fixings that come with a nice salad-bar. Oh, did I mention there’s unlimited okra. The BEST PART of Ken’s is their appetizer; ribs. Yes they give you four ribs for an appetizer. So, they’re best known for their prime rib, steak, and brisket. Ever meal I ordered has come as requested and the cooks pay delicate attention to how you want your meat cooked.
It’s a fact that real BBQ doesn’t need sauce and this is often the case at Ken’s. The perfectly seasoned meat falls off the bone and by the time you’re done you will probably want more. The Heaven-sent flavor comes from their mesquite wood grilling techniques coupled with pepper and other ingredients. Now that’s how you cook, no food network needed. Ken’s leaves you satisfied from the first to last bite; guaranteed. It’s something you have to experience. Ken’s Steakhouse, as some would describe as a “Hole in the Wall” type of restaurant, is NO CORPORATE, FRANCHISE SELLOUT and staying true to their recipe has equalled major word of mouth success. I have never heard of a dissatisfied customer at Ken’s.
Overall, the atmosphere is appropriate and their staff-members are polite. A meal at Ken’s Steak and Ribs will typically set you back $20+ but it’s worth the drive and remember afterwards a to-go box might be needed.
